Job description

Role: Disability Social Worker

Location: North East

Start Date: 02/03/2020.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate:

  • highly developed and specialist knowledge of social work practice and HCPC registration;
  • flexibility
  • ability to work under pressure
  • experienced in managing caseloads with various complexity
  • ability to assess and manage the risk involved in protecting vulnerable people
  • relevant qualifications and experience of working with disabled people and their families
  • a good working knowledge of the legislation that underpins this work

Successful candidates will also be required to contribute to the regular monitoring and review of services to facilitate service improvement and ensure resources are used effectively. In part this is also to ensure safeguarding and the promotion of welfare is at the centre of everything we do.

You will ensure that resources are effectively utilised by assessing and planning implementation and evaluation of care. Any research evidence should be applied in practice.
