Caritas Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Adult Safeguarding Social Worker to join Knowsley Council's Adult Services team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated practitioner with safeguarding experience who is passionate about promoting the welfare, safety and wellbeing of vulnerable adults. Experience within an Adult MASH environment would be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake safeguarding enquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014Manage a caseload of approximately 12-15 casesAssess and manage varying levels of risk, complexity and uncertaintyEnsure safeguarding concerns are managed in line with the Care Act 2014 and Knowsley's safeguarding proceduresWork collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard adults at riskComplete safeguarding investigations and enquiries to a high professional standardParticipate in the Adult MASH duty rota one day per weekTake safeguarding referrals, complete partnership checks and undertake initial enquiriesProvide cover for duty services during periods of annual leave and sickness where requiredMaintain accurate case records and comply with GDPR, Data Protection and Information Security requirements

Requirements

Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registrationExperience working within Adult Safeguarding servicesStrong knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and safeguarding legislationAbility to manage a diverse caseload effectivelyExcellent assessment, risk management and partnership working skillsAdult MASH experience desirable
