Caritas Recruitment is currently recruiting for a SEND Lead Worker to join Wiltshire Council's SEND Service.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families. Acting as the main point of contact, you will coordinate support, provide advice and guidance, and ensure services work together to achieve positive outcomes.
The RoleAs a SEND Lead Worker, you will lead and coordinate the Education, Health and Care Needs (EHCN) assessment process, bringing together education, health and social care professionals to develop a holistic understanding of each child's needs. You will work closely with families, schools and partner agencies to ensure children and young people receive timely, person-centred support.
Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary point of contact for children, young people and families throughout their SEND journey.Coordinate Education, Health and Care Needs (EHCN) assessments.Organise and facilitate multi-agency meetings.Build effective relationships with families, schools and professionals.Develop and monitor outcome-focused support plans.Promote inclusion and early identification of additional needs.Provide information, guidance and advocacy to families.Ensure services work collaboratively to deliver effective support.RequirementsExperience working within SEND, Education, Children's Services or a related field.Strong understanding of the EHCN assessment process.Experience of multi-agency working and coordinating support plans.Excellent communication, organisation and relationship-building skills.A commitment to delivering person-centred outcomes for children and young people.What's on Offer?Hybrid working Meaningful and rewarding role supporting children and familiesCollaborative multi-agency working environmentOpportunity to make a real impact on outcomes for children and young peopleFor more information or to apply, please contact:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals. Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in SEND.
