Leicester City Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate PERM CIN Social Worker to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in need, ensuring that their voices are heard and their rights are upheld. You will work collaboratively with families, professionals, and external agencies to develop and implement effective care plans that support the best outcomes for children in our community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and reviewing care plans in partnership with families and relevant stakeholders. Monitoring and evaluating the progress of children and families, providing ongoing support and intervention as necessary. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports in accordance with council policies. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to strategy discussions.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Experience working within a children in need (CIN) framework. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
