Based in Salisbury, this busy and supportive safeguarding team works with children and families from assessment through to permanence. Working within Wiltshire's "One Journey" model, you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with children and families throughout their journey, ensuring the right support is in place at every stage.

Caritas Recruitment is currently recruiting for a SEND Lead Worker to join Wiltshire Council's SEND Service.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families. Acting as the main point of contact, you will coordinate support, provide advice and guidance, and ensure services work together to achieve positive outcomes.

The Role

As a SEND Lead Worker, you will lead and coordinate the Education, Health and Care Needs (EHCN) assessment process, bringing together education, health and social care professionals to develop a holistic understanding of each child's needs. You will work closely with families, schools and partner agencies to ensure children and young people receive timely, person-centred support.

Caritas Recruitment is currently supporting Wiltshire Council with the recruitment of an Experienced Social Worker to join their Adult Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).

Adult MASH is the first point of contact for adult safeguarding concerns across Wiltshire, bringing together professionals from a range of agencies to deliver timely, coordinated and person-centred safeguarding responses. The team works closely with health services, police, advocacy providers, voluntary organisations and other key partners to safeguard adults at risk.

The Role

As an Experienced Social Worker, you will undertake complex safeguarding work, provide skilled interventions and work collaboratively with partner agencies to manage risk and achieve positive outcomes for adults with care and support needs. You will promote the key principles of the Care Act, including empowerment, prevention and proportionality, ensuring individuals remain at the centre of decision-making.

Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake safeguarding triage, screening and risk assessments.Manage Section 42 safeguarding enquiries and investigations.Complete complex Care Act and Mental Capacity Act assessments.Develop safeguarding and protection plans focused on outcomes.Provide guidance and support to colleagues on complex safeguarding matters.Work effectively with multi-agency partners to coordinate safeguarding responses.Maintain accurate, timely and high-quality case records and reports.RequirementsQualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.Strong experience within Adult Social Care and Safeguarding.Sound knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act and safeguarding legislation.Experience of multi-disciplinary working and complex risk management.Excellent assessment, analytical and report-writing skills.
