We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team in Tonbridge, Kent. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people with disabilities and their families. You will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality social work services, ensuring the well-being and safeguarding of vulnerable children.
As a Social Worker in the CWD Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to the individual needs of children and their families. Providing ongoing support and intervention to families, ensuring that they have access to appropriate resources and services. Collaborating with health professionals, educational institutions, and community organizations to promote the welfare of children with disabilities. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local authority policies and procedures. Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance professional skills and knowledge.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly those with disabilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
