We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Permanent Children's Head of Service (HOS) to join our dynamic team at Compass. This pivotal role involves leading and managing our children's social work services, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for children and families. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives, enhancing service delivery, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the operational management of children's services, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards. Leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of social workers and practitioners to deliver effective interventions and outcomes for children and families. Developing and implementing strategic plans to improve service quality, performance, and outcomes. Collaborating with key stakeholders, including local authorities, health services, and community organizations to promote integrated service delivery. Monitoring and evaluating service performance, utilizing data to inform decision-making and drive improvements.The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills including:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Significant experience in children's social work, with a proven track record in management or leadership roles. Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policy frameworks, and best practices in children's social care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence a range of stakeholders.
