Caritas Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) to join North Yorkshire Council's Children's Services team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced practitioner with a strong background in Child Protection, Looked After Children and care planning. As an IRO, you will play a key role in ensuring children's voices are heard, care plans progress appropriately, and positive outcomes are achieved through effective challenge and oversight.
Key ResponsibilitiesChair Looked After Children's Reviews and Child Protection Conferences.Monitor the quality and effectiveness of care plans.Ensure children's wishes and feelings are central to decision-making.Provide robust challenge where plans are not progressing appropriately.Work closely with professionals and partner agencies to improve outcomes.Contribute to quality assurance and service improvement. RequirementsSocial Work England registered Social Worker.Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services.Strong Child Protection and Looked After Children experience.Experience chairing complex multi-agency meetings.Excellent analytical, communication and report-writing skills.For more information or to apply, please contact:
