Join our dynamic Children's Social Work - Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) Team in Oxfordshire, where you can make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable children. We are seeking a qualified and passionate Social Worker to support unaccompanied minors, ensuring their safety, well-being, and integration into the community. As part of our dedicated team, you will contribute to assessments, care planning, and the provision of tailored support to meet the unique needs of each child.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to determine the needs of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. Developing and implementing individual care plans in collaboration with children, families, and relevant agencies. Providing ongoing support, advocacy, and guidance to children and their families throughout the asylum process. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with local and national safeguarding policies. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to facilitate access to education, health services, and community resources.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work) and current registration with Social Work England. Experience working with children and families, particularly in the context of UASC or similar vulnerable groups. Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and child protection processes. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
