Join our dedicated Safeguarding Team in Wiltshire as a Children’s Social Worker, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children in our community. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with families, local agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to provide the highest standard of care and support. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing needs, developing intervention plans, and implementing safeguarding measures that prioritize the welfare of children.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in partnership with families and other professionals. Managing a caseload of children and families, providing ongoing support and intervention. Collaborating with statutory agencies, schools, and health services to ensure a holistic approach to safeguarding. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with local policies and procedures.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
