Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families? North Yorkshire is seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker to join our dynamic Fostering Team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with foster families, children, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable children in our care.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments of foster carers and ensuring they meet the necessary standards. Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster families, ensuring they have the resources needed to provide a nurturing environment. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, foster parents, and other stakeholders. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of fostering services.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working within a fostering or children's social work setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
