Join our dedicated Children's Social Work - Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team in Swindon, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting children and their families. As a Qualified Social Worker, you will focus on safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children with disabilities, ensuring they receive the care and support they need to thrive. Your expertise will be essential in conducting assessments, developing care plans, and coordinating services that enhance the lives of these children and their families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing individual care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and intervention to families, ensuring their voices are heard and respected. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with relevant legislation and policies. Participating in multi-agency meetings to ensure a holistic approach to care and support.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Proven experience working with children with disabilities and their families. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust.
