The City of Westminster is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children’s Social Work - Child in Need (CIN) Team. This role is pivotal in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families in our community. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality social work services, ensuring that the needs of vulnerable children are met effectively and compassionately.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing child protection plans in collaboration with families and relevant stakeholders. Managing a caseload of children and families, ensuring timely interventions and support services are provided. Working closely with schools, health services, and community organizations to promote holistic support for children. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of safeguarding policies and practices. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements.The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills including:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly within a CIN context. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
