Are you a passionate and dedicated social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and young people? Solihull Council is seeking a qualified Children's Social Worker to join our Looked After Children (LAC) Team. In this role, you will work collaboratively with children, families, and other professionals to provide high-quality support and intervention for children in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.

As a Children's Social Worker within the LAC Team, your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and their families. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other stakeholders. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports in accordance with local and national standards. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to the development of safeguarding strategies. Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work, DipSW). Current Social Work England registration. Experience working with children and families, particularly those in care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in children's social work.
