We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Children in Care Team in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who is committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children and their families. In this role, you will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that children in care receive the support and resources they need to thrive.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine their needs. Developing and implementing care plans in partnership with children, families, and other stakeholders. Providing ongoing support and intervention to children in care, ensuring their well-being and safety. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required. Collaborating with external agencies and services to provide holistic support.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience working within a children in care or child protection setting. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a caseload efficiently.
