Job description
IDS require experienced hospital social workers to work 14.5 hours a week on a weekend (7.15 hours each Saturday and Sunday). IDS would also welcome those preferring to work a 5-day week across the weekend ie Wednesday to Sunday.
Social Worker required for work within the Integrated Discharge Service/Hospital Team. Excellent weekend rates of pay up to ?42ph depending on experience.
This working pattern is to meet the challenges of the current pandemic, and additional pressures this has placed on the NHS
This is a fast-paced team whose role is key within the hospital services to ensuring patients can be discharged on time and with the correct care provisions in place.
You will be responsible for supporting safe discharges from the borough?s local hospital, as well as developing and maintaining links with other multi-disciplinary teams from a number of London wide hospitals.
Applicants must be able to adhere to strict deadlines and be confident in their assessment and risk management skills to arrange same day care provision.
Computer literacy, and knowledge of Google Workspace desirable. This role is currently conducted remotely, from home, and access to your own computer would be beneficial, although equipment can be arranged.
You will need a recognised social care qualification and be able to reside and work in the UK
