The London Borough of Haringey is seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Children's Assessment and Safeguarding Team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of children and families within our diverse community. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, safeguarding vulnerable children, and ensuring their well-being in accordance with statutory guidelines.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to safeguarding. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with legal and organizational standards. Participating in court proceedings and providing expert testimony when required.To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Experience in children's social work, particularly in assessment and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
