Join our dynamic Kinship Assessment Team in Birmingham as a Qualified Social Worker, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting children and families within our community. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of kinship placements, ensuring the safety and well-being of children while promoting positive family relationships. Your expertise will guide you in creating tailored support plans designed to meet the unique needs of each family.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of kinship carers and their suitability to provide care. Collaborating with multi-agency teams to gather information and insights for effective decision-making. Providing ongoing support and guidance to kinship families throughout the assessment process. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with legal and organizational standards. Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in child welfare.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current Social Work England registration. Proven experience in child protection and kinship care assessments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with families and professionals.
