We're recruiting an experienced Children's Social Care Team Manager to join Knowsley's Help and Protect Service, overseeing work with Children in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP).
This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced social work leader who can provide strong management oversight, support high-quality practice and lead a team of Social Workers to deliver positive outcomes for children, young people and their families.
The role will include:
Leading, motivating and supervising a team of Social WorkersProviding regular reflective supervision, clear management oversight and effective decision-makingManaging and monitoring the quality and performance of caseworkEnsuring statutory responsibilities and safeguarding duties are metAllocating and prioritising work effectively across the teamUsing audits, performance indicators and quality assurance to drive good practiceSupporting the development, training and progression of staff, including ASYE Social WorkersLeading service improvements and contributing to wider service planningWorking closely with senior managers and partner agenciesEnsuring practice remains child-focused, outcome-focused and compliant with relevant legislation, policy and proceduresWorking arrangementsThe role is 36 hours per week with hybrid working available.
There is an expectation to be office-based a minimum of 3 days per week. During the Team Manager's duty week, which is 1 week in every 8, the expectation is to be office-based for the full week.
