Join our dedicated Safeguarding Team in Tameside as a Senior Practitioner in Qualified Social Work. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to lead and contribute to the welfare of vulnerable individuals and families within our community. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and adults at risk, while also mentoring and supporting junior staff members.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of children and families. Developing and implementing safeguarding plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners. Providing expert guidance and supervision to social work practitioners within the team. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in safeguarding and child protection. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
