Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Swindon Borough Council is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Team Manager to join our Positive Futures Corporate Parenting team. This pivotal role involves supporting the management and delivery of high-quality social care services to children and young people in care, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard. You will work closely with a dedicated team of social workers and professionals to foster a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Key responsibilities include:

Assisting in the management of the team, providing supervision and support to social workers. Overseeing case management and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practices. Collaborating with partner agencies to deliver integrated services for children and families. Participating in the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives. Contributing to the training and development of team members.

The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:

A relevant social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Experience in children’s social work, particularly in corporate parenting. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
