Are you a passionate and dedicated Social Worker looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a qualified Social Worker for our Young People's Safeguarding team in Peterborough. In this vital role, you will work closely with children, young people, and their families to ensure their safety and well-being while promoting their emotional and social development.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans tailored to the individual needs of young people. Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to ensure effective safeguarding measures are in place. Providing support and guidance to families and young people, facilitating access to appropriate services and resources. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies. Participating in court proceedings and representing the best interests of children and young people.To be considered for this position, you must hold a relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England. Additionally, you should possess:
Demonstrable experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people and families. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
