Join our dedicated Fostering Team in East Hampshire (Alton) as a Social Worker and play a vital role in changing the lives of children and families within the community. We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual who is committed to providing high-quality support and advocacy for children in foster care. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with foster families, children, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for those in our care.
As a Social Worker in the Fostering Team, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting assessments and home visits to evaluate the suitability of prospective foster carers. Providing ongoing support and supervision to foster carers to ensure the welfare of children. Developing and implementing individual care plans for children in foster care. Collaborating with other professionals, including educators and healthcare providers, to support children's needs. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with social work standards and protocols.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, CQSW, CSS, or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience in fostering or child protection settings is highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
