Join our dedicated team in Newham as a Social Worker specializing in Family Support and Safeguarding. We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual committed to making a difference in the lives of families and children. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, community organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and their families.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of families in need of support and safeguarding interventions. Developing and implementing tailored support plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services. Monitoring and reviewing progress, adjusting plans as necessary to meet evolving family needs. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with local and national standards. Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to child protection conferences.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in family support and safeguarding, preferably within a local authority setting. Strong understanding of relevant legislation and statutory guidance. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
