Caritas Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join an Early Intervention Team in Bexley.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with children, young people, and families at the earliest stage of intervention, helping to create sustainable positive change and prevent family breakdown, care proceedings, and the need for ongoing statutory intervention.

The Role

You will build positive and respectful relationships with children, young people and their families, providing intensive, targeted support to help achieve meaningful and lasting outcomes. Working in a child-centred, systemic way and using the Signs of Safety practice model, you will:

Complete assessments and identify families' best hopes and goalsDevelop and implement intervention plans alongside familiesDeliver high-quality, intensive support on a one-to-one and group basisHelp prevent family breakdown and reduce the need for children to enter careSupport children and young people to remain safely within their family networks wherever possibleWork collaboratively with partner agencies to improve outcomesPromote resilience and empower families to function independently without ongoing Children's Social Care involvement

Requirements

Social Work England registrationQualified Social Worker statusExperience working with children and familiesStrong assessment and intervention skillsKnowledge of Signs of Safety and systemic practice approachesFull UK driving licence preferred
