Salford City is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Child Protection team. This role is vital in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families within our community. As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and providing support to children and families facing various challenges. You will work collaboratively with other agencies, schools, and community organizations to safeguard vulnerable children and promote positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families in need of support. Developing and implementing child protection plans in accordance with legislative requirements. Working closely with multi-agency teams to coordinate services and interventions. Providing emotional support and guidance to children and their families. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of all casework activities.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Experience working in child protection or related fields. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
