Join our dedicated Duty & Advice Team in Oldham as a Qualified Social Worker specializing in Children’s Services. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families within the community. Your expertise will help assess needs, provide effective interventions, and ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive in a safe and supportive environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Providing timely and appropriate advice and support to families in crisis. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to coordinate services and interventions. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation. Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of services.To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in children’s social work, particularly within a Duty & Advice context. Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
