We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Permanent Children's Social Worker to join our Fostering Team in Herefordshire. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and safeguarding vulnerable children and young people in the foster care system.

Key responsibilities and duties:

Undertaking assessments of prospective foster carers to ensure they meet the necessary requirements Providing ongoing support and guidance to foster carers to promote positive outcomes for children in their care Conducting regular visits to monitor the well-being and progress of children in foster placements Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate services and interventions for children and families Preparing detailed reports and case notes to maintain accurate records of interventions and outcomes

Essential qualifications and skills:

Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration Demonstrated experience in working with children and families in a social work setting Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions in complex situations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with children, families, and professionals Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes
