Join Us as a Sexual Exploitation Worker - Newham
Caritas Futures is supporting a highly regarded charity in recruiting a Sexual Exploitation Worker to support individuals affected by sexual exploitation in Newham. This is a part-time (19.5 hours/week) role with hybrid working and flexible hours (TBC).
About the Role:
As a Sexual Exploitation Worker, you will provide direct support to individuals at risk of or experiencing sexual exploitation. Your work will focus on safety, recovery, and empowerment, using a trauma-informed and client-led approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored one-to-one support to individuals affected by sexual exploitation
Conduct risk assessments and develop safety and support plans
Work closely with safeguarding teams, social care, police, and partner agencies
Signpost to specialist services including housing, health, and legal support
Advocate for clients to ensure their voices are heard and needs are met
What We're Looking For:
Recent Enhanced DBS (within 12 months)
Experience supporting vulnerable individuals, ideally those affected by exploitation or abuse
Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma, and exploitation
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multi-agency team
