Cheshire West is seeking a dedicated and experienced Non Case Holding - Lead Child Protection (CP) professional to join our dynamic Child Protection Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. As a Lead CP, you will provide expert guidance, support, and leadership to social work practitioners, enhancing the overall effectiveness of child protection services.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and supervising a team of social workers, providing mentorship and support in complex case assessments. Developing and implementing child protection policies and procedures to ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to promote best practices and facilitate effective interventions. Conducting training sessions and workshops to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members. Monitoring and evaluating the quality of service delivery, ensuring continuous improvement and accountability.To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work) and registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding, with a proven track record in leadership roles. Strong knowledge of child protection legislation and frameworks. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
