Manchester City Council is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our Adults Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults within our community. As a Social Worker in the Adults MASH, you will work collaboratively with various agencies to assess needs, provide support, and safeguard those at risk.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of individuals to determine their needs and eligibility for services. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with service users, families, and other professionals. Carrying out risk assessments and safeguarding investigations to protect vulnerable adults from harm. Providing support and guidance to service users and their families, ensuring they understand their rights and options. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with legal and regulatory standards. Participating in team meetings and contributing to the continuous improvement of service delivery.

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in adult social work, particularly within safeguarding and assessment frameworks. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload effectively. A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
