We are seeking an experienced Family Support & Protection Social Worker to join a busy front line safeguarding team in East London.
This role involves working directly with children and families to assess risk, safeguard vulnerable children, and deliver effective interventions that create positive outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage Child in Need, Child Protection and Court casesComplete assessments, Section 47 investigations and risk analysesUndertake statutory visits and direct work with children and familiesDevelop, implement and review safety and intervention plansChair and contribute to multi-agency meetings, Core Groups and Child Protection ConferencesPrepare court reports, statements and legal documentationSupport Looked After Children and permanence planningMaintain accurate case recordings and meet statutory timescalesWork in accordance with the Children Act 1989/2004 and Working Together to Safeguard ChildrenRequirementsSocial Work England registrationQualified Social Worker (DipSW, CQSW, BA or MA Social Work)Experience within Children's Safeguarding, Child Protection or Family Support teamsStrong assessment, court work and multi-agency working skillsWhy Work With Davina & Caritas?23 years' recruitment experience supporting Social Workers across the UKHonest, straightforward advice on teams, culture, rates and opportunitiesNo pressure approach focused on finding the right fit for youBacked by Caritas Recruitment, a trusted specialist with strong local authority partnerships
