Caritas Recruitment is proud to be supporting Oxfordshire County Council in the recruitment of a Leaving Care Personal Advisor to join their dedicated Children We Care For and Leaving Care Service.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of care-experienced young people aged 16-25, supporting them as they transition into adulthood and independent living.
The RoleAs a Leaving Care Personal Advisor, you will build strong, positive relationships with young people, helping them navigate some of life's biggest milestones. Working as a guide, advocate and trusted adult, you will support young people with accommodation, education, employment, finances, health and emotional wellbeing.
You will:
Manage a caseload of care-experienced young people aged 16-25Develop and review Pathway Plans that reflect each young person's goals and aspirationsSupport young people to access housing, education, training and employment opportunitiesAdvocate on behalf of young people with partner agencies and professionalsCoordinate services and support packages to promote independenceWork with young people from diverse backgrounds, including unaccompanied asylum-seeking young peopleMaintain accurate records and contribute to positive outcomes for young people leaving careAbout YouWe are keen to hear from candidates with experience supporting young people within social care, youth services, education, housing, criminal justice, leaving care or related settings.
You will have:
