Liverpool City Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced CP Chair to join our dynamic team within the Qualified Social Work field. This pivotal role requires a passionate individual committed to safeguarding children and ensuring their welfare. As a CP Chair, you will lead Child Protection Conferences, providing a platform for collaboration among multi-agency professionals, families, and children, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued in the decision-making process.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Facilitating Child Protection Conferences and ensuring that all relevant information is shared effectively. Developing and maintaining effective relationships with families, children, and professionals to promote a child-centered approach. Monitoring and reviewing child protection plans to ensure they are effective and responsive to the needs of the child. Providing advice and guidance to professionals on safeguarding issues and best practices. Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and local policies, contributing to continuous improvement in service delivery.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
