We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join the Family Safeguarding Team in Somerset. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and intervention to vulnerable children and families to ensure their safety and well-being.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children and families in need of support Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to coordinate services and interventions Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multidisciplinary meetings Providing crisis intervention and safeguarding services to children at risk of harm Supporting children in care and advocating for their best interestsThe ideal candidate for this position will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work degree and HCPC registration Demonstrated experience working with children and families in a social work setting Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in complex situations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently, with a proactive and solution-focused approachIn addition to the above requirements, the successful candidate will need to undergo an enhanced DBS check and must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
