We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Family Help team in Cambs (Fenland/Wisbech) on a temporary basis, offering a competitive rate of £40.50 per hour (umbrella). This role is pivotal in providing high-quality social work services to families in need, ensuring their welfare and supporting their development. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding children and promoting family resilience through effective intervention strategies.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assessing the needs of children and families, developing and implementing tailored support plans. Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to deliver integrated services. Providing supervision and mentorship to junior staff and social work students. Conducting regular reviews and evaluations of interventions to ensure effectiveness. Engaging with families to build trust and facilitate positive change. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with legal and organizational standards.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in child protection and family support. Strong assessment and analytical skills with the ability to make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively.
