Join our dedicated Children's ATM - Social Care Team in Gateshead, where we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of children and families within our community. We are seeking a passionate and qualified Social Worker who is committed to providing high-quality support and intervention services to children in need. In this role, you will work collaboratively with families, schools, and other agencies to ensure the well-being and safety of children.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments of children's needs, risks, and strengths to inform intervention strategies. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, helping them navigate challenges and access resources. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with legislative requirements. Participating in team meetings, supervision, and training to enhance professional development and service delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience working with children and families in a statutory setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.

Are you an experienced Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) looking for a rewarding out-of-hours opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated AMHP to join its Emergency Duty Team (EDT), providing emergency social work support and Mental Health Act responses during the EDT twilight hours.

In this role, you'll work as part of a highly skilled team, responding to urgent situations, undertaking Mental Health Act assessments, managing safeguarding concerns, and working alongside partner agencies to ensure individuals receive timely and appropriate support outside of normal working hours.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Providing a high-quality emergency duty and out-of-hours social work response.Undertaking Mental Health Act assessments in line with current legislation.Responding to urgent safeguarding and social care concerns.Working collaboratively with health professionals, emergency services and partner agencies.Making sound decisions in complex and high-pressure situations.Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring statutory responsibilities are met.
