Caritas Recruitment is supporting a local authority seeking an experienced Social Work Improvement Lead to provide strategic leadership within the Family Safeguarding Hub and wider Children's Services.
This is a key role focused on strengthening safeguarding practice, driving service improvement, enhancing multi-agency working, and ensuring children and families receive the right support at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Family Safeguarding Hub, ensuring timely and effective decision making for children and families.Drive continuous improvement across safeguarding services through quality assurance, auditing, performance management, and workforce development.Strengthen partnership working with Police, Health, Education, Early Help, and other key agencies.Promote effective threshold decision making and ensure children are referred to the most appropriate service.Provide expert leadership, supervision, and support to managers and practitioners.Lead on service improvement projects and contribute to wider strategic developments across Children's Services.Champion motivational interviewing and relationship-based practice.Monitor service performance and implement improvements that deliver positive outcomes for children and families.Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.Significant management experience within UK Children's Social Care.Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance, and children's social care practice.Proven experience leading service improvement and managing complex operational services.Excellent partnership, leadership, communication, and influencing skills.Experience of quality assurance, performance management, and workforce development.Why Apply?

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
