Northumberland County Council is seeking a skilled and experienced Advanced Practitioner to join the Welcome to West Locality Children's Services Team, based in Hexham. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a small, supportive team within a friendly and collaborative working environment.

You'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality social work to children, young people, and their families. Working on a rota basis between home and office, you'll benefit from flexible working conditions and regular support through supervision and daily peer collaboration.

Competitive pay of £28.82 per hour (umbrella)

Hybrid working - mix of home and office-based duties

Free onsite parking at Dene Park House

Regular supervision and peer support

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

Substantial experience working with children, young people, and families

Strong background in Child Protection and Safeguarding

Confidence in positive decision-making in complex cases

A collaborative approach with a track record of effective team working

SWE registration and a social work qualification (BA, MA, DipSW, or equivalent)

Supportive, values-driven leadership culture
