Caritas Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced SEND Manager to join West Berkshire Council.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled SEND professional to play a key leadership role in managing the Local Authority's statutory SEND responsibilities and driving improvements across the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process.

The Role

As SEND Manager, you will oversee a designated SEND phase, ensuring statutory duties are delivered efficiently and effectively while keeping children, young people and families at the centre of decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing the delivery of statutory SEND services within your phase areaLeading and supporting a team responsible for EHCP assessments and reviewsWorking closely with the Head of SEND and wider management team to enhance SEND service deliverySupporting the continuous improvement of the EHCP processManaging mediation and SEND Tribunal casesEnsuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislationBuilding positive relationships with schools, settings, health professionals and familiesChampioning person-centred approaches and positive outcomes for children and young people with SENDAbout You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Significant SEND experience within a Local Authority settingStrong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislationExperience managing EHCP processesExperience of Tribunal and mediation caseworkExcellent leadership and stakeholder management skillsA commitment to delivering high-quality, family-centred servicesWhat's on Offer?
