Join our dedicated Safeguarding Team in Cornwall as a Qualified Social Worker specializing in Adult Services. We are seeking a passionate and skilled professional who is committed to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable adults. In this role, you will work collaboratively with individuals and their families to promote safety, well-being, and empowerment, ensuring that the highest standards of safeguarding practice are upheld.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting assessments to identify needs and risks for adults at risk of harm. Developing and implementing tailored care plans in partnership with service users and their families. Providing ongoing support, guidance, and advocacy to individuals and their support networks. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to safeguard individuals effectively. Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with statutory requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized Social Work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience in adult safeguarding and social work practice. Strong assessment and analytical skills with a person-centered approach. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.

Caritas Recruitment, on behalf of Cafcass, is looking for an experienced Children's Social Worker to join as an Agency Family Court Adviser (FCA) within the Private Law teams.

The Role

You will:

Carry out assessments and work directly with children to ensure their wishes and feelings are heard and represented in court.

Apply your expertise in risk assessment and mediation to support safe, child-focused outcomes.

Advocate for arrangements that prioritise the best interests of the child.

Manage a demanding caseload with independence, resilience, and strong organisational skills.

Requirements

Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.

Ideally 3+ years' experience in children & families social work.

Experience in Family Court proceedings and knowledge of Public Law.

Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.
