We are seeking a dedicated and experienced AFC - Senior Practitioner to join our Duty & Assessment Team on a temporary basis, offering a competitive rate of £39.04 per hour via an Umbrella Company. This role is critical in ensuring that vulnerable children and families receive the support they need. As a Senior Practitioner, you will lead assessments, provide guidance to junior staff, and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families in need. Leading and supervising a team of social workers and support staff. Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with families and other professionals. Ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and local authority policies. Providing training and mentoring to less experienced staff members. Participating in multi-agency meetings to promote the welfare and safeguarding of children.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Current Social Work England registration. Significant experience in child protection and safeguarding practices. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in report writing and case management systems.
