We are seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Child Protection/Children in Need (CP/CIN) Team in Lowestoft, Suffolk. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to make a significant impact in the lives of children and families. The position offers a competitive rate of £40.50 per hour (umbrella), and we are looking for candidates who are passionate about safeguarding and enhancing the well-being of vulnerable children.
As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for a diverse range of duties including:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective intervention plans in collaboration with multi-agency partners. Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and students. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in accordance with local policies. Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (BA/MA in Social Work or equivalent). Current registration with Social Work England. Significant experience in child protection and children in need cases. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
