Join our dedicated team as a Senior Social Worker in the Child Protection/Child in Need (CP/CIN) Team based in Loughborough, Leicestershire. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that vulnerable families receive the support they need, while also guiding and mentoring junior social workers within the team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks. Developing and implementing effective care plans in collaboration with families and partner agencies. Managing a complex caseload and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practices. Providing supervision and support to junior staff, fostering their professional development. Engaging with multi-agency teams to promote a holistic approach to safeguarding.

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work). Current registration with Social Work England. Significant post-qualification experience in child protection and safeguarding. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families and colleagues. Strong analytical skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
