We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Social Worker (QSW) for a Long Term Children in Care (CIC) position in Northamptonshire. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and families. As a QSW, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of children in care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development through effective intervention and support.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored care plans for children in care. Working collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency partners to promote the best interests of the child. Monitoring and reviewing care plans, ensuring that they are implemented effectively and adjusted as necessary. Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements and local policies.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience working within children's services, specifically in long-term care settings. Strong assessment, analytical, and communication skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Additional requirements include a valid driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
