Join our dedicated team at the Ipswich North East Social Care Team in Suffolk as a Senior Social Worker, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of individuals and families within our community. In this position, you will be responsible for leading casework, providing expert guidance to junior staff, and ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of care and support. Your work will involve assessing the needs of vulnerable populations, developing tailored care plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective interventions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients’ needs and risks. Developing and implementing individual care plans in partnership with clients and their families. Providing supervision and support to junior social workers and students. Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies. Participating in team meetings and contributing to service development initiatives.To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registered with Social Work England. Significant experience in social work practice, preferably within a statutory setting. Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in social care.
