Join our dedicated team as a Senior Social Worker in the Child in Care Team, serving the Fareham and Gosport areas of Hampshire. In this pivotal role, you will provide high-quality support and intervention for children and young people in care, ensuring their welfare and development are prioritized. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of complex cases, working collaboratively with children, families, and multi-agency partners to deliver effective care plans that meet the individual needs of each child.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored care plans. Providing direct support to children and their families, promoting their emotional and social well-being. Leading and supervising a team of social workers, offering guidance and support to enhance practice standards. Engaging with external partners, including health and educational services, to ensure integrated support for children. Maintaining accurate and timely records in accordance with local authority policies and procedures.The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Significant post-qualification experience in child protection and working with children in care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
