As a member of our Front Door Team, you will be responsible for:
Conducting initial assessments and screenings for children and families in need of support. Collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure comprehensive service delivery. Providing timely and accurate reports to inform decision-making processes. Engaging with families to develop effective intervention plans that promote child welfare. Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your professional skills.To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse families. You'll be working in a restorative, child-centred environment, building strong relationships with families and making a genuine difference to outcomes.
✅ Essential Requirements (Non-Negotiable)Qualified Social Worker (Social Work England registered)Proven experience working as a Social Worker in Children's ServicesStrong background in Child Protection, CIN and court workFull UK driving licence and access to a carAbility to meet office requirements (minimum 1-2 days per week, up to 5 days depending on service need)🚫 This role requires experienced practitioners only - candidates without prior Social Worker experience will not be considered.
💼 The RoleManage a diverse caseload including Child Protection, CIN, LAC and court proceedingsBuild meaningful relationships with children, young people and familiesComplete assessments, care planning and statutory visitsWork in partnership with multi-agency professionalsContribute to safeguarding and ensure children are kept safeYou'll need to be flexible - while there is some home working, you must be available to attend visits and respond to service needs.
