We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Intake Unit focusing on Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) in Dover. This role offers an attractive rate of £38 per hour (umbrella). As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in assessing and supporting vulnerable children who are navigating the complexities of the asylum process.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of the needs and risks of unaccompanied asylum-seeking children. Developing and implementing tailored care plans that promote the well-being and safety of the children. Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to ensure the best outcomes for the children in your care. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with local authority policies and procedures. Providing emotional support and guidance to children, helping them to navigate their experiences and challenges.To be considered for this position, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent). Registration with Social Work England. Demonstrable experience working with children and families, particularly in the context of UASC. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
