We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Safeguarding Team in Northamptonshire. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of children at risk of harm, working closely with families, partner agencies, and other professionals to provide support and intervention.
Key responsibilities and duties include:
Conducting assessments and investigations into child protection concerns Developing and implementing care plans to safeguard children and promote their welfare Providing direct support and guidance to children and families in crisis situations Participating in case conferences and court proceedings as required Collaborating with external agencies to coordinate services and resources for familiesThe ideal candidate for this position will possess:
A recognized qualification in Social Work and registration with Social Work England Prior experience working in a similar role within a safeguarding team Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection Strong assessment, communication, and decision-making skills The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseloadAdditional requirements for this role may include a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel within the Northamptonshire area.
